Nominate yourself or a colleague!
The time has arrived for nominations for ISHA Board positions that expire in April 2012. Health educators and school nurses from all levels of education have benefited from serving on the ISHA Executive Board. Nominations can be self-made or sent in by a colleague. Time commitments are reasonable and the Board works collaboratively to organize the yearly ISHA convention. The board holds meetings quarterly in the summer, fall, winter and spring in addition to the state convention. Specific duties of each office are detailed below. Coordinated School Health

Coordinated school health programs pull together all persons and services that provide or promote health in the school setting. These services include, but are not limited to: health education for students, staff, and families; physical fitness and physical education; provision of food and nutrition; school nursing and health office activities; providing a healthy school environment; health promotion programs for school staff and families; psychological and social services that encourage social and emotional health.
